95% of wildfires in CA have a human origin, most of them unintentional. ("Only" 10% are arson.) Power lines of course, but also things like driving on a bare wheel after a tire blowout, parking in dry grass (the tailpipe can be hot enough to set it off), leaving a campfire unattended, burning your camping trash, gender reveal fireworks, even pounding a metal stake with a metal hammer have sparked fires that burned out of control.
